Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies that enhance market recognition and consumer loyalty while aligning with overarching business objectives.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analyse consumer insights to identify emerging trends and inform innovative branding initiatives.
- Create, maintain, and update brand guidelines, including tone of voice, visual identity, and messaging, to ensure consistency across all channels.
- Oversee the production of brand assets encompassing logos, packaging, and marketing collateral, ensuring they adhere to the established brand identity.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (marketing, product, design) and external agencies to execute cohesive, multi-channel brand campaigns.
- Lead the planning and execution of digital marketing initiatives, utilising tools such as Google Analytics and social media platforms to monitor performance.
- Undertake regular brand audits and performance assessments using key performance indicators, refining strategies as necessary to maximise market impact.
- Integrate sustainability and ethical practices into the brand development process to reflect modern consumer values.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including partnerships and vendor collaborations, to reinforce and expand the brand’s presence.
- Stay abreast of global brand trends, technological advancements, and innovative marketing approaches to continuously evolve the brand’s competitive edge.
Qualifications
- It is desirable that brand developer applicants have Proven experience (minimum three years) in a Brand Developer role, with a preference for candidates who have successfully managed remote or agency-based projects.
- Demonstrable experience in brand development, brand management, or a related marketing discipline, supported by a robust portfolio of successful projects.
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling brand narratives and present strategic ideas clearly to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong analytical capabilities for interpreting market data and consumer insights, paired with a creative mindset to innovate brand strategies.
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects, including collaborative work with design, product, and marketing teams.
- Knowledge of sustainability and ethical branding practices, with a focus on integrating these principles into broader brand strategies.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding brand consistency across diverse platforms and media.
- Adaptability to evolving market trends, innovative technologies, and shifting consumer expectations.
- Proven project management and organisational skills to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Brand developers are also expected to demonstrate ability to negotiate and manage relationships with external vendors and creative agencies.
Education & Certifications
- Brand developer applicants are expected to have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is typically preferred.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Brand Management, Brand Strategy, or Luxury Brand Management are advantageous, particularly for senior roles.
- Professional certifications such as the LSBR Certificate in Brand Strategy and Management, Google Analytics Certification, or HubSpot Digital Marketing Certification are highly regarded.
- Specialist certification programmes focusing on brand innovation, digital marketing, or cultural aspects of branding can provide a competitive edge.
- Membership of professional bodies, such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing or the British Institute of Branding, is desirable for networking and professional development.
- Brand developers are expected to present a well-curated portfolio that demonstrates a history of effective brand development initiatives and strategic impact is essential.
- Continuous professional development through industry workshops, online courses, and conferences is highly recommended to keep skills current in a rapidly evolving market.
Additional Job Requirements
- As a brand developer, you must demonstrate excellent written and spoken English to ensure clear communication and professional deliverables.
- Brand Developer Applicants must be self‐employed or registered as a sole trader, capable of operating independently and managing their own tax and National Insurance responsibilities.
- Ability to provide fully compliant professional invoices for services rendered, including all statutory details such as business name, address, unique invoice number and due date.
- Willingness to enter into a written contract that clearly outlines the project scope, payment terms and intellectual property rights.
- Must adhere to all relevant UK regulations for self‐employed professionals, including conformity with IR35 where applicable.
